Jorge came to hang out with us as we prayed over our sandwiches and our trek out to the streets. He has become a friend and part of our family. Last night he was being very silly but when we headed out he said to us very seriously, “I will never forget you, never.” Jorge’s comment encourages us to keep doing what we do – Connecting Together to Restore Hope . We are loving on those who need someone to encourage them, someone to pray with them or even to just be their friend. We desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus. It’s is wonderful to see these connections being made over time. It often starts with a sandwich, small talk and prayer.
